I'm backtracking again to post some additional photos from the campsite, Estes Park, and Boulder. If you're looking for Rocky Mountain National Park photos, scroll down this page because I just posted those, too.

This is the main drag in Estes Park ... totally touristy, it reminded me a lot of Portage Ave. in Sault Ste. Marie, MI (I know, it's a reference that only a handful of you will get), except the souvenirs centered around the mountains instead of the Locks.

The maypole (that is the right word, isn't it?) for the Scandinavian Midsummer Festival in Estes Park ... though I learned that "Scandinavian" just barely includes "Finnish" in Estes Park. I only saw one Finnish tent, and it had a lot of the same souvenirs I found in Helsinki, only they were significantly more expensive here, which I guess was to be expected. So I took this photo and moved on.

The road not taken ... one of the options I considered for grad school (a buddhist-inspired university founded by Allen Ginsberg, and home of the "Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics").

Rocks hanging from a tree outside the library at Naropa.

The sun-dappled entrance to Naropa's "Allen Ginsberg Library."

Yes, the glorification of Ginsberg as a near-deity here nauseates me more than a little. Ironically, the library was closed ...

... as was the "Consciousness Lab" across the street. Evidently, enlightenment is only available here during regular business hours. Am I being too cynical?

The last night at the campsite, talking to some fellow tourists.

Same as above, Jeep in background.
