It's been a couple of days since I posted -- I've been in Veteli with Anja and Antti and Antti's sisters, Eeva and Liisa, and I didn't have internet access while I was there. I have a lot of posting to catch up on, so these will be full of pictures without many words. To start, here are some photos from Arktikum, the museum I went to on my last day in Rovaniemi.
The outside of the museum:

And the inside (the main hall is a glass tunnel that stretches down the entire length of the building -- this is only part of that hallway):

I couldn't take many photos of the actual exhibits, but this is the closest I came to seeing an actual polar bear:

And an explanation of the sunshine situation in Rovaniemi throughout the year (since that's been such an issue for me):

And a few photos from around town. This is Jätänkynttilä (Lumberjack's Candle) Bridge over the Ounaskoski River:

The main road in Rovaniemi, Koskikatu -- it turns into a pedestrian mall a block away from where I took this photo:

And the Kauppayhtio Cafe, where I was going for internet access everyday:

And a monument to Finnish Independence that I discovered near a walking path:
