A Trip to Hvittrask with Mika

On Saturday, Mika brought me to Hvittrask, famous architect Eliel Saarinen's home outside of Helsinki.  The house is a museum now, but it was closed when we arrived. There was plenty to see from the outside, though:

Here are half of the steps leading down to the water from the house. Unfortunately, they also lead back up to the house (this photo was taken during a break on our way back up):

Thanks again to Mika, Sari, and Brenda for so much hospitality and an excellent introduction to Finland ... I never would have found places like this without you!
